Accommodation
Our bedrooms range in size, shape, decor and location, mainly due to the various extensions that have taken place over the years to turn this family home into a hotel! Most of our rooms are located up one flight of stairs however we do have rooms on the ground floor so please do let us know on booking if you would prefer a ground floor room or have any other specific requirements. Please note we don’t have a lift at the hotel. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, digital TV and radio, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Some of our rooms can accommodate an extra bed or cot if you need, please just call us on 01664 563563 with your requirements!
We are proud to have been awarded "Safe Clean and Legal" accreditation by Quality in Tourism, In order to achieve this we have made various adjustments to include enhanced deep cleaning of bedrooms and public areas. During your stay, we will service your room on a request basis and, if you prefer us not to enter your room, we are happy to provide additional supplies of anything you may require on request.
Single Rooms
Standard Rooms
All our standard rooms are located in the main building on the first floor, we have one standard twin bedded rooms and five standard double rooms. One of our standard doubles can be made into an additional twin room if required – please contact us to discuss this directly.
Room 8 is our only standard twin room offering beautiful views over our gardens, most of the other rooms having courtyard views. Twin rooms have two single beds (each 3ft) and all doubles have 4ft 6 beds. All these rooms are en-suite with a shower over the bath.
Superior Rooms
We have two superior twin-bedded rooms and five superior double-bedded rooms. Some of these are located on the ground floor and some can be made into twin beds if required. Most superior rooms have a courtyard view, with the exception of two rooms which are road facing. All twin rooms have two single beds (each 3ft) and all doubles have 5ft beds. Executive Rooms
These are the largest rooms we have. Most Executive rooms are in the annexe, just a few paces from reception. For those guests requiring a ground floor room or disabled access, Room 31 our ground floor Executive double room could be a great option. There is sloped access from reception to the annexe and no steps into the building or into the room. The bathroom features grab rails and also a separate shower (although please note it is not a wet room).
Although we welcome dogs at Sysonby Knoll, the entire annexe and the Executive rooms in the main building are dog free to create an allergen-free environment.

Four-Posters
We have three beautiful four-poster rooms located in the main building, very close to reception, up one flight of stairs. Two of our four posters have stunning views over our gardens and the Wreake Valley beyond. The other four poster is Room 2 and also known as the Easom Room - it is our largest room in the hotel with a 6ft bed and also has a separate double bed hidden away in a wardrobe which can be booked in advance for 2 children.
Room 5 is also known as the Colonel Pitt Room, it is our smallest four poster room with a 5ft bed but has been most recently refurbished. Please have a look at our tour of this room.
Room 3 is also known as the Thurman Room it has a very impressive 6ft mahogany bed and beautiful views over the garden,
